about

Today, on 06 July, His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama will be playing a crazy set - also featuring the Gyuto Tantric Choir- to celebrate his 85th birthday. For those who can't make it to Dharamsala, the good news is it will be streamed live to every sentient being of the Universe. Humans, just listen to your heart. That's where he will be streaming in Live. His Holiness won't be using his fingers to tweak the knobs of his Pioneer mixer during the set, given his psychic ability to move objects with the mind. Kamakhya Records is also celebrating His Holiness' Birthday by releasing Tashi Delek, the 4 track EP of Nutby. The track - "Rhythm of Cham" is an offering to His Holiness on his 85th Birthday. Tashi Delek which is a Tibetan word is almost impossible to translate properly into English. It could mean "Blessings and Good Luck" or "May all auspicious signs come to this environment"

All proceeds from sales will go to the Lynti Khasi School of Umsawwar – a small remote village of farmers & shepherds located in Meghalaya, Northeast India- to help better its infrastructure and much more including funding the higher studies of the pass-outs of Lynti Khasi School. The Lynti Khasi School, with its bare basic facilities, is trying really hard not only to educate the children of Umsawwar but to also strike a balance between education & the centuries-old traditional livelihood of the community where the children help their parents in the daily chores of rearing and farming.
