25 KM TO KAMAKHYA the outcome of the 5-day Knowledge Sharing Workshop with Sanathana during the Gig Sessions 3.0 at Paat Halodhiya Farm where each participant contributed with their unique styles and techniques.

Day 1: Individual participants were made to work on rhythm using only odd time signatures and not a 4/4 signature keeping a collective decision on the BPM for this process!

Day 2: Participants worked on their styles for the creation of a layer of ambience and soundscapes keeping a collective decision on the root notation for harmonic progression.

Day 3: The participants worked on individual layers for leads and ancillary elements.

Day 4: Swaroop aka Sanathana used a projector to demonstrate, structure, and stitch all the layers collected by all participants to create one cohesive mix.

Any gaps that needed to be filled were again worked on by a few Participants till the mix sounded like a story keeping the flow going throughout!

Day 5 : The Final Day was used for polishing the mix and adding the remaining parts to finish off the workshop and the track!

Here the approach was to be unconditioned rather than imposed upon as rules or guidelines. It was more about freedom of expression rather than an expectation-based approach. None of the participants engaged in discussion about their work or parts till they were done with them and later it became one coherent story where all the participants' work were talking to each other!

Result: One Successful Experiment from Individualistic styles and expressions coming together where though the creators of their work weren’t necessarily talking while doing their parts but when put together, their work in the form of music were all talking to each other!
