about

Chapter 6 picks up exactly where Chapter 5 left off about the consciousness of the Kings of Nongtluh entering the watery caverns of infinity after their deaths, waiting to be resurrected and how the 5 high priests of the 5 clans of the Kingdom of Nongtluh meditates, 2 on top of the Mountain and 3 beside the River for visions and dreams to guide their search for the next King.

In Chapter 6:

(()) Psoma's Track "Symmetry in Chaos" is about the journey of the 5 high priests of the 5 clans of the Kingdom of Nongtluh, guided by the Mountain and River Spirit, towards the East to meet the child who is believed to be the re-incarnate King. News have traveled that the child has shown all the signs to qualify for the re-incarnate King - eating crazy amount of rice and bananas, climbing and jumping like a monkey, running fast like a deer, staying underwater like a fish, flying like a bird and hunting like a tiger.

(()) Dronoid's Track "Monkey King with 72 Magic" is the story of the celebrations and preparation of the return journey after the 5 high priests of the 5 clans of the Kingdom of Nongtluh declaring the child as the re-incarnate King post a series of tests to check all the signs and ensure that the child is indeed a genuine reincarnation.

THE LOST KINGDOM OF NONGTLUH is a Musical Storybook inspired by a folklore from the Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya. It will have 7 chapters. This is Kamakhya Records' first attempt to musically interpret Oral Traditions of Northeast India.
----
STORY OF THE LOST KINGDOM OF NONGTLUH:
Long long ago there was a Kingdom far far away called Nongtluh where 5 clans of farmers coexisted in harmony with nature. The Kingdom was protected by the River Spirit on one side and the Mountain spirit on the other. The King of Nongtluh was considered an enlightened being and was not chosen; rather, he was found from amongst these 5 clans. When a King of Nongtluh died he didn't just die, he transferred his consciousness and re-incarnated by choice. 5 high priests of the 5 clans meditated, 3 on top of the Mountain and 2 beside the River for visions and dreams that guided their search for the next King - a child who could eat a crazy amount of rice and bananas, who could climb and jump like a monkey, run fast like a deer, stay underwater like a fish, fly like a bird and hunt like a tiger. In the Kingdom of Nongtluh, it was normal for men and women to fall in love and marry animals, and people who broke the law had their souls taken away to be put inside a stone deep in the forest for it to heal. Every year they had a big 3 day festival of dance, song, and music and the festival ended with 2 daughters chosen from the 5 clans going away to stay with the Mountain and River Spirit. One day, nobody knows why, the King and people from all the 5 clans dumped everything they had in a huge well in the middle of the Kingdom and left Nongtluh never to return, never to be heard of again.

All proceeds from sales will go to the Lynti Khasi School of Umsawwar – a small remote village of farmers & shepherds located in Meghalaya, Northeast India- to help better its infrastructure. The Lynti Khasi School, with its bare basic facilities, is trying really hard not only to educate the children of Umsawwar but to also strike a balance between education & the centuries-old traditional livelihood of the community where the children help their parents in the daily chores of rearing and farming.
